Ghi chú	Qualifications for Application Applicants must be non-Japanese nationals who meet all of the following requirements. (1) Applicants must have taken the EJU (Japanese as a Foreign Language) sponsored by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) in June or November 2023, or have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) level N2 or higher (administered in July or December 2022, July or December 2023), and have completed or are expected to complete 12 years of education in a foreign country that is considered to be a Japanese high school graduation in March 2024, or have been designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as equivalent to this level. In accordance with Article 150, Item 1 of the Enforcement Regulations of the School Education Law, "a person who is equivalent to a person who has completed 12 years of school education in a foreign country" is defined as follows (a) Those who have passed the examination of the relevant country (including those equivalent to the national examination; the same applies to the next item), which is recognized as a certification examination to determine whether or not the applicant has the academic ability equivalent to or higher than those who have completed 12 years of school education in a foreign country.
