Ryukoku University’s enterprising spirit and harmonious coexistence resonating around the globe

Founded in 1639 as a seminary of the Honganji Temple, Ryukoku University’s global campus, with approximately 500 international students representing 37 different countries, now comprises 9 faculties and junior college departments, 10 Graduate Schools and a separate course for international students, spread over campuses in Kyoto and Otsu City in Shiga Prefecture.

Access by train or bus
On the Taketa-bound subway from Kyoto station, get off at Kuinabashi, and walk east for about 7 minutes.
On the Nara-bound train from the JR Kyoto station, get off at Inari, and walk in a south-west direction for about 8 minutes.
On the Yodoyabashi-bound train from the Gion Shijo station on the Kintetsu Line, get off at Fukakusa, and walk west for about 3 minutes.
