This faculty aims to nurture students who can use English, Chinese and Japanese to be successful on an international stage.

This faculty aims to nurture students who use multiple languages to deepen their multicultural awareness and have the capabilities to be successful on the international stage in various academic and business fields.

 Content Based Learning
Through this learning approach students acquire the skills to think about and express their thoughts on a topic of interest in a foreign language, all the while keeping their eyes fixed firmly on their future career path.

 Global Project
In this course Japanese students and international students form teams and work together at analyzing global issues and presenting a plan that works towards a resolution. Students will become more multiculturally aware and adaptive, while also acquiring sound problem solving skills and the basic skills necessary to succeed out in the working world.

 Department of Global Business – studying about business in English
Japanese and international students alike use English to study the ins and outs of business and management, acquiring the practical skills, problem identifying and resolution skills and adaptability required for global business. This course aims to foster students who can work successfully in a broad range of fields on an international scale.

 Nurturing Japanese teachers who can spread Japanese culture throughout the international community
Fostering strong multicultural communication skills, a broad base of knowledge about Japan and the ability to use Japanese accurately to teach learners of Japanese in an easy-to-understand manner.
Students on this course will obtain a Japanese teacher training program certificate of completion.

■Our Faculty of Global Studies has a newly formed unique scholarship system that offers students a 30% to 100% tuition reduction for a maximum of four years.

Department of Global Business
Nurturing students who can use their strong specialist business knowledge to contribute to the international community.

In the Department of Global Business, Japanese and international students study together in the predominantly English-run courses. The Department even offers a course in which students can graduate entirely in English. By studying business and management related knowledge in English students acquire a practical business ability, as well as the adaptability, and problem identifying and resolution skills required in global business and in becoming successful on the global business stage. Students will also acquire a beginner level in Japanese.

Department of Japanese Communication
Fostering global communication skills and an enriched view into the Japanese language and culture

In the Department of Japanese Communication international students study alongside Japanese students in Japanese, learning about Japanese culture, subcultures, and of course the Japanese language, acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to become Japanese language teachers. This course aims to foster students with the high level of business Japanese demanded by Japanese firms, and the ability to succeed and be active both within Japan and abroad.

Department of Global Communication
Honing the global mindset, knowledge, skills and worldview needed to thrive in a multilingual and multicultural society

Students in the Department of Global Communication will study in both Japanese and English (or Chinese), acquiring an international education, strong practical language skills and enhanced multicultural awareness and understanding. Through a content-based-learning approach students will use communication skills in their foreign language to acquire language and culture-heavy knowledge and skills.
