Realizing "Well-being" for all through peaceful living

In our efforts to understand the issues facing Japan's society and the concerns of its people moving forward into the future, the Faculty of Social Policy and Administration provides learning and research that approaches these topics from 3 perspectives: those of well-being, psychology, and community.
Well-being encompasses all that which brings happiness to people, and we are pursuing what is needed to ensure everyone in our society can experience a lifetime of happiness. Our objective is to cultivate the abilities needed to be able to formulate social policies and provide solutions through the implementation of those policies. In order to achieve this, we go beyond typical social welfare study programs to provide essential learning in topics such as clinical psychology and community development. The strength of our program lies in how our comprehensive approach to social welfare studies provides unrivaled research and learning opportunities. Our graduates are not only active in the field of social welfare, but are also finding success in many other fields, such as in national and local governments, and in private enterprises as well.
