Nihon University was formerly the Nihon Law School, which was established in 1889. Since its inception, the university has remained a leader at the forefront of university research and education with a global and enterprising spirit. College of Commerce Campus

Nihon University’s College of Commerce Campus is located in the Setagaya district and is a 12 minute walk from the Soshigaya-Okura Station on the Odakyu Line. Here, in the quiet residential Setagaya district, the College of Commerce has a compact campus that offers facilities and equipment aimed at promoting effective study and a fulfilling student life, under the concept of ‘a field of creativity and learning in the 21st Century’.

No. 1 Bldg / No. 2 Bldg (Galleria)

The space between lecture buildings 1 and 2 is called the Galleria, a welcoming space with a neo-futuristic corridor and balcony on the 2nd floor with tables and chairs for students to gather and hang out at.


The library, with 2 basement floors and 5 floors in total, houses 450,000 books and approximately 1,800 periodical titles, a collection worthy of any top level College library. In addition to the books and academic periodicals the library also has a database with 20,000 e-book titles and 40,000 electronic journals.
The ground floor of the library has undergone a renewal into a relaxing lounge space and the 3rd floor reference room into an expansive learning common 40m by 25m. With 100 laptops for loan and wireless LAN throughout the building, students can make effective use of their time between classes.
