Showa Women's University (SWU) founded in 1920 is located in Tokyo, Japan, minutes away from the bustling downtown Shibuya. Since the founding, its mission has been to educate women to become self-reliant and to take a significant role in society under the motto “Be a Light to the World.” A wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses and programs are offered to over 5,400 students, including those from other countries.
Undergraduate majors offered are Japanese Language and Literature, English Communication, History and Culture, International Studies, Psychology, Social Welfare, Contemporary Liberal Arts, Elementary Education, Human Environmental Science and Design, Human Health and Design, Food Science and Nutrition and Business Design.

However, for Entrance Examination at July 230 points or above of EJU are required.
2. Has taken the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) in a subject other than Japanese as a Foreign Language during either 2015 or 2016. Students applying to the Department of Psychology need to have taken ‘Japan and the World’ and either of the two courses from the ‘Mathematics’ option. Students applying to the Department of Health Science need to have taken Chemistry and Biology from the ‘Science’ option. Students applying to the Department of Business Design mush have scored at least 100 points on the ‘Japan and the World’ test.
