Study at an American University in Japan

Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ), offers you a unique opportunity to receive an American university education in Tokyo. A TUJ degree is the same one you would earn at Temple University in the U.S. You can complete all your coursework in Tokyo or transfer freely to Temple's campuses in Philadelphia and Rome. TUJ conducts all courses in English, except Japanese and other foreign-language courses. TUJ is recognized by Japan's Ministry of Education as a "Foreign University, Japan Campus," and can sponsor visas for non-Japanese students.

Scholarship system

TUJ awards a significant number of scholarships every semester to incoming degree-seeking students who have demonstrated academic excellence and other exceptional qualifications.

Housing and dormitories for international students

TUJ uses two dorm facilities in the Tokyo area. Students are assigned to each facility based on gender. Both facilities offer ample opportunities for TUJ students to interact with Japanese students attending other universities in the Tokyo area.

Support for finding employment

The Career Development Office at TUJ aims to help develop students' abilities to find the best job before they graduate. We provide career counseling, seminars on employment strategies, and guidance on internships, resume, and interviewing techniques. We also provide each student with a comprehensive guidelines booklet to assist job-hunting and career development.

The Office of Students Services (OSS) organizes a variety of events and activities throughout the semester.

Tutoring services are available in Teaching and Learning Center
