The Graduate School at Hosei University was opened in 1951, offering Master’s degree programs in the Graduate School of Humanities and the Graduate School of Sociology. The Graduate Schools of Hosei University have since opened their doors to the world’s scholars, growing and diversifying to meet the needs of modern society while retaining time-honored traditions of fundamental research and learning and striving to produce the human resources who will excel in the leading fields of the modern era.
In order to meet the needs of society, the Graduate Schools and programs offered by Hosei have undergone continuous and active growth and reform. In September 2015, the Graduate School of Innovation and Management began a new Global MBA program, a degree program taught entirely in English.
Currently, Hosei University has 15 Graduate Schools with 31 majors, as well as 3 institutes. These schools and programs offer research and learning opportunities that promote students’ growth so that they may realize their goals of becoming advanced researchers and highly-skilled professionals.

・School Facilities

The home of the Business School of Innovation Management is the Shin Hitokuchizaka building, which is dedicated to business school activities. In the 2010 academic year, “Labo-square” research and meeting rooms were added to the 6th floor of the building to further enhance the learning environment for students.

・Library Resource Room

The Shin Hitokuchizaka building has its own library resource room in the basement. Its wide-ranging collection covers basic, advanced, and trending topics as collected in books, scientific journals, and international newspapers covering topics of business, IT, and law. A reading room is also available. In addition to the Library Resource Room, the 720,000 articles for research and study available at the Ichigaya campus library are also available to students.

Joint Incubation Facility

The Joint Incubation Facility in the basement of the Shin Hitokuchizaka is a space designed for supporting the realization of the plans of notable individual and group student projects. After completion of their programs, graduated students may use the facilities as an office free of charge for one year.
