Applicants who have completed 16 years and above of school education in their home countries or expect to complete it by the designated date.
Applicants who are 22 years old or older and are recognized to have abilities equivalent to graduates by special admission qualification screening.

Others(Applicants for the 2nd term of the Graduate School of International Relations must meet the following conditions: 1) Resident status other than "Temporary Visitor" 2) The period of stay must be on and after March 2nd 2024, the day after the deadline for admission procedures for the 2nd term. The applicatns are required to have a preliminary interview with their desired research advisor prior to application. Please visit the Graduate School of International Relations website to confirm the availability of research guidance and research areas, and submit an application for an advance interview by e-mail (ir-kyomu@nihon-u.ac.jp) by Tuesday, July 25 for first-term applicants and by Wednesday, November 29 for second-term applicants. (Depending on the difference in the area of research guidance, research theme, or research content, we may not be able to accept applicants for an advance interview.) In order to apply, you must receive approval from your desired research advisor and submit a "Letter of Confirmation of Prior Contact (事前連絡確認書)," which will be issued upon receiving approval from your desired research advisor.)
